    ABOUT DEVINE Distillery

    Family owned and operated since 2007, DEVINE is a certified craft distillery producing award winning small batch whisky, gin, ‘rum’ and brandy. Blending innovative thinking with time honoured tradition, we strive to showcase the local terroir through our spirits, using  the incredible ingredients grown within our community.

    We are passionate about having our hands on every step of the process of crafting our spirits. From being in the field with our local farming partners right through to applying bottle labels by hand, we are truly connected to our spirits from grain to glass and we feel this connection shines through in every sip.

    Our distillery store and production space is located on the Saanich Peninsula, and is currently open to customers Mon-Fri 10am-4pm, with the potential for extended hours through the summer season. We attend local farmers markets throughout the summer and the Christmas seasons, as well as tasting events throughout the year. Retail sales are supported through our over 200 private liquor store, restaurant, and bar partners that sell and pour our spirits throughout the province of BC.

    WHO are we looking for? 

    As our Sales & Marketing Associate, you will take a lead role in all aspects of our sales and customer service operations across multiple sales streams, and will ultimately be responsible for being a dedicated and passionate brand advocate both in-store and out in the field.

    This dynamic role requires an organized, hard-working, free-thinking creative person who is capable of wearing many hats and enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team. This role will keep you busy and engaged in the growing craft distilling industry in BC.

    REQUIRED Skills, Qualifications & Experience

    • Passion for craft spirits, cocktail culture, and the food & beverage industry

    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in the business, marketing, sales or communications sectors and/or at least 3 years experience working in a relevant and related role.

    • Delivery of brand and guest experience through store, markets, and/or events

    • Technically proficient with online point-of-sales systems and other sales & marketing platforms

    • Personable and can easily develop and build relationships through exceptional customer service and communication skills

    • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and can adapt to changing priorities

    • Free-thinking and can efficiently and effectively deal with challenges and issues as they arise

    • Detail oriented and can manage time effectively

    • A supportive, inclusive team player willing to pitch in wherever necessary.

    • Available to work regular weekend market shifts through the spring and summer, as well as other weekend market or event shifts throughout the year.

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for hours at a time

    • Hold a valid BC drivers license with access to a vehicle

    • Must be legal drinking age in BC (19+ years)

    • Must be authorized to work in Canada

    DESIRED Skills, Qualifications & Experience

    • Established industry relationships developed through previous work experience

    • Content creation for newsletter and social media platforms

    • Photography and videography production and editing

    • Bartending and/or original cocktail creation

    • Valid ‘Serving-It-Right’ Certification

    Key Responsibilities

    • Become a dedicated and passionate brand advocate

    • Learn and adopt provincial liquor manufacturer’s regulations

    • Fulfill daily sales orders through retail, wholesale and hospitality sales streams

    • Coordinate and process pick-up and delivery of orders through multiple service providers

    • Deliver product directly to wholesale and hospitality customers in the Greater Victoria area

    • Create and build connections with new and existing liquor store, restaurant, and bar customers throughout the province

    • Liaise with and support 3rd-party sales representatives in building wholesale and hospitality sales streams

    • Welcome and deliver the DEVINE guest experience to in-store visitors and convey our story and information about our brand and spirits

    • Deliver memorable tasting and sales experiences while representing DEVINE at farmers markets and tasting events throughout the year

    • Collaborate on marketing strategies and content creation for newsletter and social media platforms

    • Assist with internal and regulatory reporting requirements

    • Work a regular weekend shift as part of your work schedule

    • Be willing and able to pitch in with other duties as required
