Paper Seaplane
Level of Complexity: Home Bartender Friendly
Clear the runway, the ‘Paper Seaplane’ cocktail is coming in for landing. This complex & WILDLY CRUSHABLE island take on a classic Paper Plane is as memorable as a smooth scenic seaplane flight across the pond. OR it’ll be the most appropriate companion after a not so smooth crossing which us islanders know a little something about too. Whatever your destination is this summer, be sure to stuff these ingredients into your cargo to enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 oz DEVINE Distillery Ancient Grains Young Whisky
- 3/4 oz Esquimalt Wine Bitter Orange
- 3/4 oz Woods Spirit co. Amaro
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1-2 tsp Honey Simple Syrup ( 2 parts honey dissolved in 1 part hot water)*
Method
*Since these local fresh ingredients don’t contain a lot of residual sugar, a little simple syrup helps to bring them all together, but of course omit for a dryer riff.
Build ingredients into a shaker, double strain into a coup and have an attempt at folding an origami seaplane. It’s a situation. You might need a few of these to get through it.
