For the first release in DEVINE's Cask Finish series, we selected three casks of our single malt whisky for finishing in European oak wine casks. These wine casks were the same ones used to age the last vintage of Marachel Foch red wine made at DEVINE.
The result is an exceptionally smooth dram anchored by the sweet malty biscuit and baking spices you've come to expect from our Glen Saanich, which is then finessed by the character of the wine casks adding notes of stewed fruit and soft tannins on the finish.
A perfect dram to toast the legacy of DEVINE's early years as a winery.
NOTE: A small cask strength bottling of this whisky released in conjunction with The Strath was recently awarded a Gold Medal at the Canadian Whisky Awards.
